FAQ

What is EFT for animals?

EFT is also known as Emotional Freedom Techniques. This method was originally created to assist the psychotherapy profession. For many people, it has greatly reduced the therapy time to just minutes or hours. Over time, EFT practitioners noticed that amazing physical healings were also occurring, from simple health issues such as headaches vanishing, to more serious illness symptoms diminishing. They found the reason this was happening was because EFT addresses emotional causes or energy disruptions in the body and traditional medicine does not really focus on this aspect.

How is EFT for animals administered?

EFT is very simple to learn.

There are 8-9 main points on the body that are used

(see diagram above).

EFT for animals can be administered:

•By tapping on the animal

•By a person tapping on themselves as if they were the animal

•By tapping on a stuffed animal as if it were the animal

The surrogate method (tapping on a person or a stuffed animal) is best when an animal does not want to be tapped on or is not able to be because of the situation (such as an aggressive or scared animal). The main thing is that the intention is for the benefit of the animal. EFT tapping bears are perfect for this.

How quickly can someone see results with EFT for pets or animals?

During the tapping sessions, statements are made to help release the emotional blockages. Often, one session of EFT is all it takes to get results. The more specific you can be with the details of the situation, the better the results will be. Obviously intuition on the part of the human, plays a big role, but as most pet owners know, we are quite intuitively connected to our pets. Depending on the situation, you may need to do daily sessions with your animal for several days or a week or more before you achieve the desired outcome.

It may be hard to believe, but because EFT is energy based, it can be done successfully by distance, whether you are doing it from across the room, city, county or country, so is particularly helpful if an animal is very traumatised and unapproachable, or with wild animals in pain or distress.

Energy healing offers excellent support for our animal friends if they are particularly distressed, suffering from past traumas or ill treatment or if they are confused and unhappy. If you are the owner of a rescued animal and do not know the history, we can help to bring some serenity and calmness into their lives. It gives a sense of well being and relief and may help other treatments, including conventional medicine, to work more quickly and more deeply.

DISCLAIMER

EFT is not a substitute for veterinary treatment. If your pet is unwell you should see your Vet. An EFT practitioner will NOT diagnose or recommend treatment.

EFT is, however, completely safe and will COMPLEMENT and even ENHANCE medication or professional medical treatment. If in any doubt, you should seek the advice of your Vet.

Just as in people, animals can have emotional problems that are expressed through disruptive behaviors or health issues, especially those that have been through a traumatic experience such as a fire, hurricane, car accident, mental or physical abuse, or loss of a beloved human or animal friend.

Most people are familiar with the terms acupuncture and acupressure, where certain points are stimulated on the body. EFT is done by tapping on energy meridian points with your fingers.
